Sandra

Sandra graduated Summa Cum Laude from one of the top universities in Russia and holds a Masters Degree in Statistics from the University of Maryland. She is a mother of three, a teacher, and a portrait photographer.

After completing her degrees, Sandra worked as an actuary but after having kids of her own and starting to teach she realized that this is exactly what she loves to do. She has both in-person and online teaching experience and believes that both settings can work very well for the students.

Sandra believes that the main goal in teaching math to kids is not the memorization, but the understanding of the logic behind the formulas. It is OK to forget the exact rule, but if the students understand once how that rule works, they will be able to derive it on the go if the need arises later on.
