DESCRIPTION:We would like to introduce you to the amazing science camp Sigma Camp\nand invite your kids to the FREE Engineering Event\nthat they will be running at the studio on Friday\, October 27. \nSigma Camp REcreational Engineering Marathon (SCREEM) in Boston for the first time! \nIf you are: \n\n11–16 years of age\,\na student of Studio of Engaging Math or their friend\,\nenjoy engineering challenges\n\nYou are invited to participate!\nYou are welcome and encouraged to bring your friends\, even if they have never heard of Sigma or the Studio of Engaging Math! \nThe event will take place on Friday\, October 27\, 2023\, from 5:30 pm to 8:30 p.m. at the Studio of Engaging Math at 320 Washington Street\, Suite 301\, Brighton\, MA 02135. \nThis is a team event. Teams will partake in a set of mini-engineering challenges. The best engineers in each challenge category will receive prizes. You will participate as a group of 2 or 4 students and can form your own team or be assigned to a team. In order to participate\, you will need to register HERE. Registration is for each individual. If you know your teammates\, you will need to indicate your team members on the registration. If you don’t have teammates\, you will be assigned to a team. You will also have the opportunity to ask SigmaCamp directors and staff about their program. \nIf you want to have a fun\, exciting\, and challenging Halloween 2023\, then dress up as your favorite character\, grab your Halloween candy basket\, and join your friends in SCREEMing! \nEvent schedule: \n5:30 PM: Check-in is open\n6:00 PM–7:30 PM: SCREEM (3 challenges for 20 minutes plus time for judging and changing stations).\n7:30 PM–8:00 PM: pizza\n8:00 PM–8:30 PM: award ceremony

We will also teach them how to optimize their time during math competitions and will practice writing timed tests.\nThe program will help students successfully participate in math competitions such as Math Kangaroo\, MOEMS\, NOETIC\, MathCounts\, etc.\n\nThe program will run online on Saturdays 11:00 – 12:30\, every other week.\nTuition – $270. \n\nMath Competition Preparation for 3-4 grades starting September 24th.\nThe classes will run every other week on the following dates:\n9/24\, 10/8\, 10/22\, 11/5\, 11/19\, 12/10\n\n\nMath Competition Problem Solving grades 5 – 6 starting October 1st.\nThe classes will run every other week on the following dates:\n10/1\, 10/15\, 10/29\, 11/12\, 12/3\, 12/17\n\nIf after a few classes you or your child decide that Math Competition Program is not a good fit\, the tuition will be prorated and credited to your account or refunded.
